Artist's Description
Granny flower (Pulsatilla koreana) is a native plant growing in Korea. A legend says there was an old lady who raised three granddaughters. They grew up and one after another moved out when they got married. She missed them so visited each of them. The two older ones considered the old grandmother as a burden, so they did not welcome her. She then walked and walked to the youngest one. When she reached the entrance of the village, she lost all her strength and died. Finding what happened, the granddaughter cried and made a grave where she died. These hairy flowers bloomed there next year. - Photo courtesy of Kunhi Yu, http://blog.daum.net/kunhiyu

*** Any products ordered here are printed by Pixels.com (Fineartamerica.com), not by the artist. Please contact Helian Cornwell directly at 270-753-2682 or at info@murrayinnandartgallery.com for originals.*** I was born and raised in South Korea and now live in Murray, Kentucky, USA, running Murray Inn and Art Gallery with Paul, my husband. There are three values I am pursuing through paintings - love, happiness and 'understandable' beauty. Part of the sales is donated to local charities. Thank you for your support.
