Description
Granny flower (Pulsatilla koreana) is a native plant growing in Korea. A legend says there was an old lady who raised three granddaughters. They grew up and one after another moved out when they got married. She missed them so visited each of them. The two older ones considered the old grandmother as a burden, so they did not welcome her. She then walked and walked to the youngest one. When she reached the entrance of the village, she lost all her strength and died. Finding what happened, the granddaughter cried and made a grave where she died. These hairy flowers bloomed there next year. - Photo courtesy of Kunhi Yu, http://blog.daum.net/kunhiyu
